Preparation and Integration

One of things that made me fall in love with Iboga was the direct communication with your soul and how simple and elegant the process was.

-David O’Brien

Preparation

Before your Iboga healing session we recommend that you start preparing your body, mind and soul. Iboga will work to detox you so the cleaner you are when you show up, the less work it’ll have to do before sending you on your Spiritual Discovery; that is where the real work begins. It will also be a testament to your willingness to do the work and heal.

Body

There is no "Iboga Diet", but eating as clean as possible will be in your favor. Sugars, coffee and processed foods are best avoided. Abstinence from alcohol, smoking, drugs and most medicines for at least 10 days prior to your arrival day is recommended.

Some drugs and medications require abstinence for up to 30 days. During our initial call we will ask you about your intake and go over in detail about what is a must and what is not.

You can find more information about medical safety HERE.

Mind

You are spending good money and taking a lot of time off for yourself; it’s time to get serious about what you want out of your session.

Start slowing the mind down. Spend less time on your phone and laptop. Take a walk in nature and listen to the wind rustling the leaves on the trees.

Think about your targets for the session and keep a journal. Without any targets to aim at you will have nothing to hunt. If you’re having a hard time finding them no worries-we are hunters and are trained to help you.

Soul

Once you make the decision to participate in an Iboga session the spirit of iboga will begin to work with you.

Start talking to your soul, and start listening when it talks back. This healing is something you are doing for you, no one else; you are the marble, and you are the sculptor. Be ready to use the tools Iboga has waiting for you.

Make the commitment to be willing to look deep inside yourself, commit to taking back ownership of your mind, your life, your destiny.

Ready yourself to seek truth and break free from what is holding you back.

Committing to this spiritual journey and setting your intentions and targets is the first step. As your session approaches, the mind will sense the imminent demise of its destructive ways and will play tricks on you to cause doubt, fear, and regret.

When this happens, simply acknowledge it and let it pass. Be aware of the thoughts without reading into them, or attaching to them. It is okay that they exist. Thoughts will always exist, negative and positive. It is up to us to decide which we choose.

True healing does not promise to be comfortable, and it’s not always easy. Sometimes you have to get down and dirty and pull the problem out at the root. And then you are free. You are healed.

The 10 Questions

Once you have detoxed your mind and body, Iboga will send you on a Spiritual Journey where you will meet your soul. This is where the Spiritual Healing happens. Afterwards, you will ask your soul any questions you may have about yourself.

See, we don’t give you the answers. We guide you to find them yourself. Iboga is the root of the truth, it only deals in truth. The truth may hurt, but it will set you free.

You will have your questions written down and we will guide you to your soul and get the answers you have been looking for all your life.

They may be questions you want to ask relatives or people who have passed to get closure, inquires about the nature of life or the universe. Anything is possible. We will have a one-on-one consultation the day of ceremony to help you with your questions.

Integration

You have received wisdom, insights, revelations, advice from your soul and spirits. You have learnt the Bwiti Keys: the tools to creating the life you truly want.

Integration is about using those tools, applying the teachings, embodying the wisdom you now possess.

Magic/Processing Day

The day after ceremony is spent in relaxation and stillness. This allows the medicine to do its work on you. Magic day is primetime for insights and realizations.

Providers will be checking up on you regularly, guiding you through the process. It’s common to only fall asleep until later in the evening, though some people actually spend the day in and out of nap, especially if they usually suffer from insomnia.

Once you get a good nights sleep, you will feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

Integration Day

Time to ground back into your body and integrate your experience. There is no better way to do so than spend a day in nature. Depending on the location, season and weather, we will spend the day at a Scandinavian SPA, the beach, a lake, or take a relaxing walk in nature.

Coming Home

Iboga is a unique experience, something unlike anything you can experience with other plant medicines or artificial psychedelics.

Once you leave the retreat you will have changed, but your life back home hasn’t. This is when your work really begins: this is the time to apply the teachings and wisdom you have received and make new choices.

It can sometimes be challenging and you may need to talk to someone who knows exactly what you are going through. This is why you will have free counseling sessions with your provider. We strongly recommend you taking full advantage of them within the first 3 months following your return home.

You will always have our email and will always be able to reach out to us to share your struggles, question and successes.

The Next Weeks and Months

Iboga is processed in your liver for up to six months. Consuming alcohol and drugs will lessen that time because Iboga will work on cleaning you out instead of building you up. We recommend at least 2 months of total sobriety after your Iboga healing session.

Iboga’s spirit will stay with you for as long as you nurture that relationship, but your first relationship is with yourself, your soul. This must be your main focus. Your soul is always with you, it is your first mate, your best friend, your GPS, and you are it’s protector.

I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.
